Winter or summer?

The differences between a conservatory and a summer garden:

  • very good weather protection
  • less heating energy is needed in winter compared to a summer garden
  • in the summer, the housing stays cooler for longer
  • less condensation
  • "Bulkier" construction compared to summer housing
  • possibility of using roof windows

WINTER GARDENS

CONSTRUCTION

A so-called warm conservatory is an airtight, roofed enclosure, either free-standing or attached to a building. The purpose of the conservatory is to extend the life of the terrace, up to a full year.

WHY A WINTER GARDEN?

Advantages of winter gardens

  • Protection against weather conditions - the glass terrace enclosure effectively protects against wind, rain and snow, which allows you to use the terrace all year round, regardless of weather conditions.
  • Protection against noise - the glass terrace enclosure allows you to reduce noise from the outside, which increases comfort and relaxation while relaxing on the terrace.
  • Increased privacy - glass terraces provide privacy during conversations
  • Aesthetics - glass terraces are elegantly combined with the architecture of the building, giving it a modern and stylish look.
  • Space-saving - the glass terrace enclosure takes up little space, which allows for maximum use of the terrace space.
  • Increasing the value of the property - if you have a house or an apartment with a terrace, and you also intend to sell or rent it, glass buildings can attract potential customers and increase the value of the property.

What sidewalls can be installed

Side panels

Side buildings of winter gardens are made mainly of glass. There are many types of glass that can be used to build a terrace. The most commonly used is tempered glass, which is characterized by high impact resistance. Another popular option is laminated glass, which consists of two or more layers of glass held together by a special film. This type of glass is exceptionally strong and, in the event of breakage, the foil holds it together, preventing the formation of sharp pieces. Each type has its own specific features and advantages, so it is worth considering carefully which one will be best for us.

Side buildings can be divided into:

  • Fixed - glass walls of the terrace, which remain in one place, are not moved or folded.
  • Sliding - glass walls of the terrace, which can be freely moved, allowing access to the entire terrace or its part.
  • Foldable - glass terrace walls that can be folded sideways, saving space and increasing access to the terrace
  • Tilt and turn glass patio doors are the perfect solution for people who want to open their terrace to the outside. Glass terrace doors allow free air flow, and at the same time protect against rain and wind.
